A new study published on Friday in the journal Science Advances showed that China's inland surface water quality improved significantly from 2003 to 2017. The improvement came with China's efforts starting in 2001 to reduce water pollution, according to the researchers from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Chinese research vessel KEXUE, or Science, returned to its homeport in the eastern city of Qingdao on Sunday after finishing a research mission in the western Pacific Ocean. Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the vessel sailed more than 14,000 nautical miles in its 95-day voyage, which consisted of two sections with a berth for supply at the port of Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia.

An innovative Chinese Alzheimer's drug that hit the domestic market last week, will go through clinical trials on 2,000 patients overseas in 2020. The company says it plans to complete the global clinical trials in 2024 and submit the New Drug Application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and European Medicines Agency in 2025.
